Application Details

Antifreeze formulations leverage MEG's low freezing point (-12.9°C for pure MEG, lower in aqueous solutions) and high boiling point (197°C) for year-round engine protection. Industrial coolant systems use MEG-based formulations for efficient heat transfer in HVAC, chemical processing, and data center cooling applications. MEG is also widely used in hydraulic fluid formulations and as a chemical intermediate for various synthetic processes.

Diethylene Glycol (DEG) offers higher boiling point and lower volatility, preferred for gas dehydration and certain resin applications. Triethylene Glycol (TEG) provides even higher boiling point and is used for natural gas dehydration and air sterilization.
